Its seems OK to me except that this Technique can not be applied on SLES 10. Indeed, zypper doesn't check /etc/zypp/repos.d/ which is set by this Technique.

By the way, a bug persist which will be fix by http://www.rudder-project.org/redmine/issues/3170

Thanks for the confirmation, @nperron.

Can you tell me Zypper does check on SLES 10 then?

I'm on it but for the moment I know that we use another Technique for SLES 10. Instead of adding a configuration file for zypper which is buggy, we use a command line with rug (which is an interface of zypper).

I don't think this is possible to use a file like zypper on SLES 11.
Our only option seems to use rug with is the officially supported by Novell contrary to zypper on SLES 10. This is already made by another Technique.

This change rather loses it's point if we cannot support SLES10. In fact, IIRC, this was the original motivation for it.

Maybe I should have clarified my intent better: the aim of this change is to have a switch to choose which OS to apply a repo to when we configure the package manager on SLES machines. If we need to do this via rug on SLES10 and file editing for zypper on SLES11, so be it.

I'm closing that PR, because 2.3 ? Really ?
A new PR, perhaps based on that one (but seems simpler to just start over with the current state of things) will have to be done.
