dms_field: Implement way to add more than one file at a time

We recently had feedback from one of our customers commenting that an interesting feature for dms_field would be the permission to include more than one file at a time.

Is there any initiative in this direction?

I don't think so, but it's interesting indeed, but directly without an extra permission.
