While deploying some templates to OSC I can see some issues with auto_accounts.

When I make the templates (or any staff member for that matter) they do so with their accounts. While this may be OK for projects that are like classrooms (everyone copying the template will have the same or similar groups as the template maker - the professor - and the default value for auto_accounts is the group of the project/class) it won't work as nice for general purpose templates.

So when a template is copied, auto_accounts is going to have to update itself so that the template can continue to work out of the box for the user that's copied it.

It should continue to use the default value in auto_accounts if possible. I believe that's the only real requirement. If it can't use the default value in auto_accounts (i.e., the user copying the template is not in that group) then it should default to the users primary group.
