Hey folks,

we discovered and possible issue while dealing with streaming of media content and HTTPS.

An HTTPS request has been made, but the SNI (Subject Name Indication) extension to TLS is not available on this platform.

source

The platform is a OpenELEC 6.0.0. on a RaspberryPi 1.
Could you give us some feedback about the error I posted above?
Is this a known issue?
Is this a maybe already fixed issue?
Can I do anything about this to fix the issue?

Thanks in advance,
Stev

https://bugs.launchpad.net/nova/+bug/1526413 <= has an identical report
urllib3/urllib3#760 <= points to the fix in urllib3

so something in python libs needs bumping or patching?

What's the verdict on this? Looks like it might have external ramifications
