How to install OpenMage using DDEV in Windows?

All you have to do is reading the two resources carefully. I gathered there all knowledge baggage to set up a professional test environment for OpenMage.

There was no need to install OpenMage in the browser. The following commands were enough:

ddev config => config the project
ddev composer install => install dependencies, you can use --no-dev too.
ddev start => start the project, in the background the database is setting up
ddev openmage-install => install Magento Sample Data
ddev openmage-admin => create or update the admin account

You have to enable the cron to be able to check periodic tasks such as sending messages, alerts, ... in Mailpit.

DDEV is really a fantastic tool!

how can i install a extension in magento mageone? where can i see in admin dashboard?

You cannot install it in the Backend. An extension can be installed by copying the files to the root directory or using composer. It depends on how the extension/module is provided by the developer. Don't forget to disable all the cache types in development.

The way OpenMage works is different than Magento 2. Let's take this extension as an example

I am using two variants for installing an extension/module:

Variant 1: Download the archive from the repository then extract/copy the app directory in the root directory of OpenMage

Variant 2: Run the command ddev composer require fballiano/openmage-image-cleaner in the terminal window.

For a short time, I am not sure if @ankushx is talking about OpenMage (who we are) or Mage One (the other Magento 1 thing). If you are talking about OpenMage and want to use a shorter representation, use OM; avoid "mageone" or "magento 1" to not cause confusion.
