New CLI tools should show progress while hashing files

What would you like to see added?

This can easily take minutes for a large dataset and nothing is shown while it is happening. It probably makes sense to break up the annexed file check into two steps, one that stats files and determines if they should be annexed and another that starts the hashing process.
