This may be a good idea, but if a certain effect has multiple texture applications, it could become complex... However, in any case, most effects only use one texture, so this feature can be considered for addition.

I hadn't thought about that :). Or maybe just for generic (special, targeted) effects in this case. If this effect has a value x, it triggers the request for the image; otherwise, it doesn't.
