Description

The new input plugin for the QT version of PCSX2 should allow button inputs (specifically ones mapped to the face buttons) to have their button pressure specified.

Reason

In the old version of PCSX2, you could use the LilyPad input plugin to specify how much pressure a button input would have. This is very useful because it allows you to play games that use the pressure-sensitive buttons of the DualShock 2 controller even if you don't have that controller. Some very iconic games that use this feature include the various GTA games, Gran Turismo, Okami, MGS2 and MGS3.

In the latest QT update, the input plugin has been replaced with seemingly no alternative, so it seems to be impossible to properly play some games with a standard modern controller.

Examples

This image shows an example of how to set button pressure in the old LilyPad input plugin:

This is the only thing still keeping me on Wx, I have to use a custom binding to play MGS2 and 3 with my DualShock 4. Look forward to this hopefully being added some day!

Same for me. I use the trigger buttons for pressure sensitivity on my xbox controller. Without this feature, I can't play MGS 2 or 3 currently.

FYI, Stenzek mentioned in #6477 that he is thinking about adding a pressure-modifier button, something that relates to this Issue :)
