I thought this section of Github Discussions ("Show and Tell") was probably a good place to post updates about new versions.
So... in the latest release, apart from general refactoring I'm quite pleased with three new features in particular:
You can now skip the .review() steps and return an object to the Python command line earlier like this:
I did consider keyword arguments but that gets a bit messy potentially since CleverDict then stores them as normal data attributes unless you then remove them.
Using
mechanicalsoup
you can now create a new (private) repository on Github without registering for a token, setting up scopes, or using OAuth or their official API. It just reuses the username and password supplied. Seecreate_github_repository()
.I've also automated the initialisation of the Remote & Origin and a first upload (Push) of all local files and folders to Github. This requires Git to be installed and I've raised an Issue (Enhancement) abou that.
