Aegean is a source finding program designed to find and characterise compact continuum radio sources. Aegean is described in these papers which should be cited if you make use of Aegean in your work:

This repository also includes a background and noise estimation tool called BANE. Which provides a method for creating background and noise images that can be used by Aegean. BANE, MIMAS, SR6, and AeRes are described in Paper 2.
