If language file has a regional charset, let's say UTF-8, in the administration module we don't have any charset at all. It should take the default language META descriptors from lang file.

The admininistration-area doesn't use the language-files anywhere so it can't know where to look for the given meta-tags.

will see what we can do about it, with a new setting or such.

By the way, I have already made that thing once but developers did not care of that. My localization file with necessary adjustments is in Russian translation thread. I can publish other enhancements if necessary.

Sorry, I've not noticed from the first glance. I'm speaking of global language charset of phorum. In my opinion it is even more important than admin charset 'cause it is about all users of a forum.

The admin header.php loads the default language file and uses the charset from that file to construct a META tag.
