Installation Notes

For x64 based Windows systems, download and run PikaTimer-1.5.Win-x64-Installer.exe (an x86 version will be released if there is demand for it). If you are using the jar file, make sure that you use JRE/JDK version 1.8.0_171 or newer and that your JRE/JDE distribution includes the JavaFX libraries (excluded by default on some Linux distros such as Ubuntu)

We recommend that you uninstall any existing versions of PikaTimer before installing this release.

Note that the installation application is currently unsigned.

You will receive a warning about an unknown publisher. We hope to address this in the future. While PikaTimer is free, code signing certs are not.

Recommended specs:

1GB of available RAM (Larger events should have 2-4GB of available RAM and use the x64 version).
1024x768 or better monitor
200MB of disk space for the application
4-50MB of disk space for each event you create, depending on the size of the event.
As always, performance improves with faster systems.
