  1. Select the "Information Level" and click "Increase Level" until it says 'Information Level 3'.
  2. Use the arrow keys or the mouse and space bar to find the following states

    b. Mississippi:
    c. New York:
    d. Alaska:
    e. Oregon:
  3. Use the space bar to announce the population 21-64 years old with a disability in that state.
  4. Record the values
Question: What does the frequency/pitch of the sound have to do with the value of the statistic it reports? Record your answer below.

Using the ‘Filter’ tool
Geographical Information can be difficult to analyze using a chart. We will use the ‘filter’ tool to investigate which regions of the country have the highest employment rate for the people without disabilities.

  1. Press F10
  2. Find “More Actions”
  3. Click on “Filter”, a pop-up window will appear
  4. Use left and right arrow keys to find the statistics for Percent employed population 21-64 years with no disability
  5. Use the up and down keys to adjust the minimum value
  6. Set the minimum to 80.9 and close the window
    a. What areas have the highest employment rate?
  7. Use ‘a’ key to switch to maximum bound
  8. Try selecting states with the lowest employment rate
    a. What areas have the lowest employment rate?
