How to setup a build environment?

Just follow the instructions here and use our OpenELEC repository instead: https://github.com/RasPlex/OpenELEC.tv

Is there a developer image?

YES. Just download the rasplexdev-image from here.

What's special about the developer image?

It's bleeding edge and contains several additional debugging tools like gdb and many others.

Is it possible to write to the system partition?

Sorry - No. This is a filesystem limitation of SquashFS.

Is there an easy way to test custom PlexHT builds?

YES. Due to it's not possible to modify the system partition we added some tweaks to allow easier testing of PlexHT. See custom PlexHT builds for details.
