portlet broken in plone 5.2

as plone 5.2 doesn't depend on plone.app.imaging, this package needs to.
but installing plone.app.imaging adds other problems an the instance won't start anymore.

without a deeper look into the package: it seems broken.

also after no updates for 2 years: is this going to be maintained or has it become a thing of the past?
