I've came across this old thread (https://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-1190061.html) where it says that there is a way to check the battery status but I can't find anything in the documentation and/or source code. How is libretro doing the battery check?

I know that this is an old issue that no one probably cares about but I noticed a problem with work around that @mirh linked. The /sys/class/power_suppy directory no longer seems to have a file for the PS3 controller battery levels either when connected via USB or Bluetooth. If this part was repaired it would be a simple task to update the utility that @AxxlForce linked.
