@joewheaton I'm assuming this should be done in gatsby to start instead of doing it the old way and migrating?

No. No need to wait.

The basic content will not change between Gatsby *.mdx and Jekyll *.md. So just go ahead and start writing following same pattern (i.e. creating docs folder in appropriate submodules. If @philipbaileynar beats you to it (i.e. he gets the tools site(s) migrated before you are done), we'll show you the differences he documented nicely already here. Otherwise, it will be @philipbaileynar who can easily migrate the *.md to *.mdx.
