SAGE App Development similar to Plugins

Jason and Nurit want the ability to create apps outside of SAGE3 that can be imported into a SAGE3 server.

Why

• To enable the ability to share apps
  • Thailand creates an app and can share it with Japan

Issues

• If developer uses a new NPM package we need to import them into the project
• Version control.
  • Thailand is on a Server V1 and Japan is on Server V2. Thailand shares a V1 app with Japan
• SAGE API Library for app development

• Something to check would be if we 'compile' the app with the same tooling versions, can we dynamically load the code ?
• Maybe:
• sage3 extension install myapp (from npm)
• sage3 extension build myapp (compile to js)
• sage3 extension enable myapp (put in the right folder and enable to be loaded)

Also I was checking Figma and their plugin is a bit like 'Electron' with a message handler running in the 'main' process and the plugin is basically a HTML+JS running in a iframe. The 2 components communicate with 'postMessage' like web-workers and electron (separate processes) and the plugin code can also do REST API calls to 'figma' I think...
Some settings are set in a 'manifest.json' file.
