2.2 Hacks Screenshots:

This is an example of a lossy picture because not only is it a jpeg, but when you look at it, the image isn't very clear and it looks just a little bit pixelated, which indicates that the data lost to compress this image was lost forever and cannot be recovered. Although it looks pretty good, its a little blurry around the edges compared to the next picture.

This one has to be a lossless data because the picture looks super precise and sharp. This means that the data that was lost to compress this image can be recovered.

Project Addition
This is one place in my project from last tri where we might be able to implement the grey picture idea. Maybe one of the quotes could be shaded in grey and it would look better that way. The best way we might do this is probably using the database method with the pictures because our project has databases in it so it my be easier to imbed the code similar to the database into our project.

  • I think this is a good sample size because it documents all the different types of Iris flowers the different lengths of those different flowers.
  • I don't think there is much bias in this data because it is only collecting information based on measurements so there can't be much data.
  • Most of the data is clean. But when doing the maximum and minimum, all the other columns have numbers but at the very end there is a string. And that might be because that is the species name and there is no number in that category, so they put the species name instead. Something to clean up might be to remove it entirely so the data consistently has numbers.
  • The purpose of the data is to have a record of the length of multiple Iris flowers.
