Remote Control is not working since a few Versions. It has always worked in the past. (Play, Pause, Skip forward / backwards, Stop and automatically close the browser). Currently I always have to use the Mouse and Keyboard to manually stop, get out of fullscreen close the browser, close the error message from the Addon.

Amazon-test 2.1
Kodi 16.1
Windows 7
Chrome Browser (latest Version)
I'm controlling Kodi with EventGhost (One for all Remote).

Let me know if there are other test that could help you find the issue. Thank you for the support.

Do you know the last working version number for you?
Is Remote Control support in settings disabled?

What is your Eventghost action, if you press the Stop key? Emulates a keystroke (default "X") or checks, if Chrome is running and emulates ALT+F4?

I also need the kodi.log, to check the error message.

Sadly I don't as I don't watch prime on like a daily basis or so, but I believe it must have been already a month or close to it since it stopped working for me. I just got now around to write here a bug report.

Yes the setting is enabled, I also did a reinstall, thinking it might be something with a faulty update. I also tried to switch to Firefox but same issue, however I cannot confirm if it worked on FF before as I always used chrome.

The Eventghost action is actually XBMC2: Stop - I have used the standard built in for XBMC in Eventghost on the commands.

I added the Log file (renamed to txt). This is with verbose logging enabled in your app. Its a new Log file from opening Kodi, starting an episode, trying pause, stop, 2x skip (skip is working), then exiting the episode manually with the mouse, closing chrome, getting the attached error screenshot, then closing kodi.

I hope this helps. Thank you for looking into this. If there is more I can help with, let me know.

According to your log the remote commands are recognized and they should be send to your browser.

Maybe the userinput.exe is missing. Sometimes Virus or Malware scanner threat this File as a Trojan Horse and delete it. They should be in this directory %APPDATA%\Kodi\addons\plugin.video.amazon-test\tools.

So I did notice the file wasn't there, so I copied it there again, but no change in the behavior :(

Any new ideas on this issue? I also noticed that the cursor also does not automatically hide like it used to :/ Currently I still need to use my mouse to quit out of chrome to get back to kodi. I'd be happy to analyse to test if it would help.

Sorry for this little ;) delay. Can you provide an log with debugging enabled, please?
I want to look, if there is any window, wich catches the control commands.

Issue can be closed for right now. I don't know what has changed lately, but pause and stop works again as it should :D
