Despite not quite understanding how your suggestion would overcome the issue described by others and me (certainly not the no-sign in issue on Matrix), I tried it out ... no effect, on both systems (see my earlier post f details) no change to the situation.

I started from the same point describrd in the entry post. No watchlist, no movies displayed. Tried around with installing from different repos, several reboots - but behaviour keept the same. Then I tried the activating the (beta) Web-api Option ind Amazon.tld and after that delete Caches in the Prime Video Tab. Now I'm able to access my movies and TV-Shows again for an hour. But now it's buggie again. Somethings work some things dont. I think I was a bit too enthusiastic...

Thank you for the attempted solution. I have tested it and it works partially. I get access to the watchlist and library again this way. Very slow on the first start though.
Categories and recommendations are partially displayed, but partially again an error message.

But this seems to be a start.

Yes, I have a "fix" in the pipeline, (also it would be just newPath = up.path), but regardless there were other problems which is why I didn't release that as an update immediately, and then everything went down crashing and burning.

Edit: Specifically, the fix suggested is not a fix, because it's rather a regression in functionalities, and I was about to look into that when I've started having 39°C+ fever, so I barely remember what I was working on.

You might try enabling Web Api from the addon setting, and then clearing cache. Some thing will work, some won't.

Works for me on libreelec 10 x86/amd64 branch (intel nuc). I simply installed the 0.9.7 matrix beta over the broken 0.9.6 version from the sandmann repo. Worked instantly without any further authentication, cache flush or cookie deletion.
After that I upgraded to libreelec 11 inplace without any issue and the plugin is still working. So the matrix version also works fine on kodi nexus.

Unless someone knows this issue, I will reproduce it later this week with advanced logging enabled, but right now, I'm too annoyed from entering my long and cryptic password 10 times...

There are no stupid questions.

It's just a little confusing but what you can download from the releases is NOT the plugin itself, it's the plugin repository. Check the different filenames. This GitHub Repo contains multiple Kodi Plugins and not just one.

Two questions:

1. Could it be that it just takes me too long to enter the password and/or the captcha? Is there a timeout? If so, how high is it and can it be changed?

I had the same issue before uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin (the old version first, then the beta).
Since I can't log in anymore, I don't know if the issue is gone now or just waiting for me to log in `XD

That's really wired, have read about this issue a few times here, but never faced it myself.
I don't have a very long password, and I've also 2FA active on my amazon account.
I don't think so that there is an timeout on login.

You can use "Kore" the Android remote for Kodi to enter long passwords very quickly. I can confirm that your issue is not timeouts as I have the same issue and can enter my password in a few seconds.

Well, I had the same issue after activation of the WebAPI and clearing the cache: With version 0.9.6 I found myself in a login cycle of password->TOTP->captcha that never ended. It's worth to mention that I've 2FA activated for my Amazon Prime account. I found the following workaround: After switching off the WebAPI I could immediately log into my account. After successfull login I could activate WebAPI option again. Currently, I am on version 0.9.7 beta (Leia and Matrix on RP3 and RP4, respectiveley. The current beta seems to work fine now. I have no experience, if this login cycle re-appears with a fresh installation of 0.9.7, because 0.9.7 beta currently seems to be installable only, if 0.9.6 has been installed previously - please corrcet me, if I somehow misinterpreted this from this long thread. And last but not least: Thank you very for providing 0.9.7 beta.

After going back to version 0.9.6, I just tried logging in both with Web API enabled and without: None of it works.

So probably my formerly reported login issues have nothing to do with the beta version :(

I was about to write that I'm confused why this gets closed when I still can't use the plugin at all but then I thought I should give version 0.9.7 a spin first.

Lo and behold, everything works! Great work by @Sandmann79 and all others who helped getting this running again. You're the best!

0.9.7 just started randomly working again. I don't understand how since nothing got updated, but it's working so w.e.

EDIT: It apparently somehow updated? Odd.

EDIT 2: I had issues with Audio until a reinstall, so if you're having audio issues reinstall it.
