  • If you want to play Fly Casual in windowed mode - instructions.

Bugfixes

  • Upgrades are missing, if there is an upgrade with the same name in another faction - fixed.
  • Gina Moonsong doesn't skip ability if there is no another friendly ships at range of ability - fixed.
  • Sunny Bounder's ability crashes the game - fixed.
  • Cannot correctly export/import squad, if it has upgrade that has "Advanced ..." in it's name - fixed.

Important

  • Name of project is changed to "Fly Casual" instead of "Fly Casual: X-Wing TMG Simulator". Path to settings is changed - this caused reset of settings for v0.9.7, old saved squadrons are not available from v0.9.7 anymore. If you use mobile device - please, delete old version of this app before installation of new version (otherwise you will see 2 icons - of old and new version).
  • If you used development builds after release of previous v0.9.6 - please, delete folder "%userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\Sandrem\Fly Casual\Second Edition\RandomAiSquadrons" to avoid errors during start of "vs random AI squad" matches (this folder can contain squads with outdated format). If you used only versions from "Releases" page - ignore this warning.

Features

  • January 2020 points update (by rune-b).
  • January 2020 errata (by rune-b): Goji only works with bombs, changes in Odd Balls ability, timing of ability of Agent Kallus, Static Disccharge Vanes now cause damage, Composure action restriction, Gas clouds can now cause strain. (Known issue: Changes of tractor beam are not implemented yet.)
  • Support of XWS format for X-Wing 2.0 - now you can import/export squads from/to popular squad builders. Old files of squadrons are not supported anymore. If you have issues with import/export in XWS format - please, report here.
  • Random AI squadrons are updated: old files are removed, 34 new squadrons are added.
  • "Stats" menu is added - now you can see overall statistics of dice for all "human vs AI" matches. (This will not stop conspiracy theories, but...)
  • Mobile devices: Both landscape modes are supported.

Help is needed

Wave 6 will include two new ship models - "Major Vonreg's TIE" and "Fireball". As I know, there is no free community-created models of these ships. So if anyone can help to create them for "Fly Casual" and "X-Wing Unified 2.0 Mod" ("Tabletop Simulator") - please, contact me. (Otherwise I will use just a model of potato for them).
Also, rework of some old models is needed too. (Did you see current model of Mist Hunter? I think that it is only a bit better than a potato-placeholder).

  • Advanced Setup of AI ships. Now AI chooses free space and uses tight formation during setup. (But it still assigns maneuvers for each ship individualy, so no flight in formation yet.)
  • "Free mode" (in Options-> Extra). Install any upgrades on any ships and modify pilot's initiative.
  • "Select a decision" UI now supports art and longer description.
  • Show animation of gained/removed tokens above ships.
  • Dynamic Camera is set by default (You can turn off it in Options -> Extra).

  • Moff Jerjerrod: if forced by ability Boost action is failed, then ship doesn't try to perform boost again and doesn't gain infinite Stress Tokens anymore.
  • If a ship fails an action - correct highlight of next ship according to Activation Rules is used

This version have all Wave 1 content, so if you will see that any card from Wave 1 is missing - please, report this. I plan to add remaining content wave-by-wave in next updates.
Also, this version has a lot of big changes to support complex cards from Wave 1, so it can have more bugs than usual. Please, report them to improve quality of the game. I plan to release 0.9.1 with bugfixes soon, when new points for ships will be released.
