Using a config example there is nothing shown in the preview.

Also, nothing after saving changes

And nothing after exiting Edit mode

The configuration I used:

type: custom:button-text-card
title: Title
subtitle: Subtitle
icon: mdi:lightbulb-outline

Thanks for reporting!
Pushed a temporary fix that will make the card visible again. However, the edit mode detection is broken.

Opened #48 to wait for a dependency to fix the issue.
