More debugging - I think it's because salt-master.service was not installed. I thought that would be automatically done? How can I fix this?

Exact same scenario here (also somewhat of a SO noob). The proposed solution to install, enable, restart the salt-master allowed me to finish the SO install which had previously failed on every attempt. I didn't see this listed as necessary in ANY of the documentation, which was problematic, as every KB or troubleshooting step started with the assumption that SO was installed and soup commands available. Was this an oversight somehow on the bundled install, or am I missing a step somehwere? Thanks for any help/suggestions. I tried to do the install from both 2.4.70-20240529 & 2.4.60-20240320 ISOs in base and graphical format as Standalone. |

fixed with
sudo yum install salt-master
, but still unsure why it wasn't installed automatically
