Greetings

May I ask if you will be making the server source code available?

I would like to host it on a private server in my country.

Standard LAMP/WAMP stack. PHP, MYSQL, APACHE.

Hi there,
the backend is a Swift project using the Vapor server framework.
We have planned to open source the code for a very long time now. There are still some adjustments necessary before we can do that. And unfortunately we don't have the capacities right now for working on the project. We hope that this will change in the future so that we can continue the development of the project.

Until then self-hosting the backend is not supported, I'm sorry about that.

Regards

Compliments on the android app UI. You hit it on the nail.

I would like to suggest being able to use this app offline as well, via WiFi(direct) and Bluetooth (offline mode)

Typical use case would be as a group survival app.

  1. group of skiers/hikers in avalanche territory.
  2. group of kayakers on the river.
  3. group of sailors at sea.

Perhaps there could be an alarm from the app when a member falls out of range, of WiFi/BT range, and highlights the last known position.

Your UI fits these scenarios extremely well.

Welcome your feedback.

As far as sef-hosting is regarded, it might easiest to deploy it as a Yunohost app ?

Will be the swift source code be published on GitHub?

No idea, but you can ask them on their chatrooms
