In this page you can see how to work with our app, but first make sure you installed the app correctly according to our How to install the app wiki.
This guide provides the essential information you can use to play with SmartParking. It describes in detail you can do in our application. You can reach to all the pages from the side menu:
This is the first page you are going to see, in this page you can see:
- A map 🗺 of Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, with your current location, and when you are navigating you would see a walking path marked with red lines & driving path will be marked with blue line.
- A direction panel, which will include you navigation direction to your destination, the top ⬆️ will include the driving, while the bottom ⬇️ will include the walking route directions.
- Voice support checkbox 🔉, which can be enable/disable only on android (PC platforms aren't supported).
- Free parking slot button
🅿️ , in case you already have a parking slot you can free it and clear the route from the screen by using this button. - Navigation button 🚗, which will lead you to the Navigation page (description ahead...)
- Last searches button, after you logged in our system and press this button you will see your latest searches for navigation route from a source to the destination which you drove in a least use order, this will allow you to skip the navigate form and will directly found a navigation route for them again 😄.
This screen is where you can choose the source & destination for your route and after pressing GO we will search this route, show it in the map page, and at the end pick an optimal parking slot which is saved just for you 😄, there are few things you need to know:
- the supported sources & destinations are: Aeronautics Faculty ,Central Library, Civil Engineering Faculty, Computer Science Faculty, Electrical Engineering Faculty, Industrial Engineering Faculty, Materials Engineering Faculty, Pre-Academic Preparatory School, Sports Center & Ulman.
- The source can be the Current Location 📍, so you are able to navigate from your location and not just from ours, just write it in the source search.
- There is support in multiple floors in Ulman, so if you choose this as destination you will have a pop up at the end of the walking route if you need to take the stairs for example.
- Simulation checkbox, because we don't except you to go and drive while doing the reality test there is a simulation option so you can see what will happen when you try this in real life, you can move through the route and see that there is a notification for you in the end that you arrived to your destination.
explanation of how it's work: now the current location is your finger or your mouse , you'll need to get about 5 meter to the end of the route (first the driving then the walking) to get a success message.
- Record Route 🔴, when you want to record you will only see the driving directions, you are in charge of putting new walking route according to shortcuts you know, and then we'll check if your path is shorter then the google result and our known shorter paths we've stored, if so we will save it and use it so other users can see & enjoy it, while you will get a better place in heaven for helping others 👼
- You are able to record walking route only after you arrived to your park.
- Because you can't go to the park and check it you will need to choose the simulation when you check this field, so you can simulate your way to the slot and then you need to go with the mouse from this location towards the destination you chose (you will need to walk with the mouse to see the progress)
- At the end of the route you will get a pop up to fill your description for the suggested route, remember you would like to make it informative, other users can see it 😉.

In this page, you can login to the system. If you're not a member of the project, you can't use our system.
In this page, you can register to the system. It also verifies that your input makes sense. Your input is saved within the database of the project and you can use it in order to log in.
This page will only be able to show after you are logged In 😮, you can see a button which will log you out of the system, 👋👋.
In this page, you can view your details. That includes your username 👤, car number 🚗, phone number 📱, email ✉️, sticker color 🔵 and last parking spot by its area
Here you can edit your details in case you would like to change them.
