From our discussion in the Documentation meeting, I thought it would be great to define a 'standardized' personas in grid.

Proposal 1: simple grid

What do you think?

I like proposal #2! I also like @yuiseki's suggestion of making them more of a venn-diagram! :)

Yes, I know how to write a Venn diagram with 4 sets. It is amazing.
e.g. https://mathsalon.quora.com/Why-cant-we-draw-a-Venn-diagram-for-4-sets-with-circles-and-how-can-we-solve-it-1

Another possibility would be to merge personas and make them hiearchical like this:

  • DevOperator
    • Developer
    • Operator
  • MapLearner
    • Learner
    • Mapper

Ah, I realized that the hierarchical model does not cover the following scenario:

  • Learning to be a developer
  • Learning to be an operator - Neither does Proposal 2.

Maybe we can stick to 4-persona model and keep it away from hierarchical mode.

@hfu good suggestion! I agree that the personas for learning to be a developer / learning to be an operator is important to have!

Tips

Create a 2 x 4 table and then merge 2 cells 4 times.
