Web forms
The new website supports simple forms. These can collect basic information including:
- Single line text
- Paragraph text
- Drop down choices
- Multi select options
- Radio buttons
- Addresses
- Emails
- File uploads
Entries from our forms can be sent to designated recipients and can be exported from the website. We can also set custom confirmation emails for those who fill out a form. Please contact the Web Team if you are seeking to build a form on the website.
Due to privacy and security considerations, forms on the website must be created by the Web Team. Google Forms offers similar features as well and this is available as part of VCU's Google Suite at: forms.google.com/. Forms that are specifically tied to web content can be created on the website, whereas forms that are not associated with any content on the site should be housed on Google Forms or someplace else.
Please note that the website cannot collect and sensitive data or process transactions (such as donations or ticket sales). If you are looking for a web solution to accomplish these tasks please contact VCU Technology Services or Development and Alumni Relations (DAR).
