Low-Res Textures in Hammer Editor SSDK 2013 #175
Comments
Nevermind. I got it to work again. |
You should close the issue and maybe post the solution before you do so. |
For the record though @SuperNexus4, How did you fix it? I have a similar issue with the TF2 tools #168. Only factor here is that it effects the 3D view port! |
I'm having this issue as well but it hasn't stopped doing it for me, am i missing something ? |
The problem is coming directly from the inputsystem.dll that can be found inside Half-Life 2\bin. I don't know how a .dll system can be affected so severely by the 9/05/13 update Valve had put out. But in order to fix it, here is a link to the .dll system prior to 9/05/13. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/16218991/hammer/inputsystem.zip Hope it works out for you, champ. From: twincannon notifications@github.com @reepblue : same here. Tried a fix mentioned in an old steam forum thread about changing picmip settings in dxsupport.cfg but it doesn't seem to work for this issue in SDK2013. One "workaround" is to use an older version of hammer for actual editing/detailing... silly but yeah heh. |
For one moment, the textures were perfectly fine. But just a few minutes ago after I finished recompiling a model for my mod, the textures on the models look very low-res (something you'd see in a GoldSrc game). I know there is a specific way of fixing this, but I am not sure if it will apply to the SSDK 2013 version since the old Source SDK is obsolete.
