Wallet Connect Issues

I'm sorry, i know this place is mostly for developers. I was wondering why a certain contract doesn't let me connect my wallet with it through Wallet Connect, while I can query the contract for informations. This particular contract is from website that is no longer active, but has still my coins inside and I wanted to try to recover them, since they are untouched. Could it be a version issue of wallet connect from the contract and the version of my wallet? Could he simply "disconnect" the server where this contract is active? (But then how do I still get informations by quering the contract?). Any information would be very welcomed . I'm sorry if I used non-technical language, or blunt logic errors.

EDIT: I managed to connect to the contract through a metamask wallet (so another address), so there is no issue there. But then why can't I connect through Wallet Connect with a Cronos Defi Wallet?
