What?
This PR prevents classic themes with
block-template-parts
support from displaying the welcome guide when opening the template parts editor.Why?
Everything explained in the welcome guide is related to block themes. With hybrid themes, you cannot edit the entire site, and you cannot use the global style UI.
How?
If it is not a block theme, the welcome guide will not be displayed. In the Site Editor, there are also welcome guides related to Templates, Global Styles and Pages, but if the current theme is not a block theme, you should not be able to access these pages in the first place.
Testing Instructions
Note: If you have previously hidden the Welcome Guide, please follow the steps below to reset your test environment (
localhost:8889
) settings.Delete the preference from database:
Delete
WP_PREFERENCES_USER_X
from the browser's local storage:http://localhost:8889/wp-admin/
.e2e test
