balena-io/etcher#4144 .... related to debian and therefore Ubuntu removing dep packages ...

idea: consider using the AppImage for those distros?

balena-io/etcher#4226 someone apparently has made a patch and PR but who knows when it MAY get merged

2610e1c is my "fix" for addressing this for now

swtiched to using the appimage but i am seeing coredumps running that on Ubuntu 24.04

ANOTHER issue balena-io/etcher#4242

Late Oct 2024 update: testing 1.19.25 on Mint 22 ... Appimage AND DEB both seem to install fine ... testing may be needed but i may want to revert this change

** POSSIBLY ** fixed ... testing need

MX Linux 23/24 it downloads and runs fine ... aka "Pass"

Fixed and tested in latest Dev branch ... any new code i made because of this issue MAY want to be refactored
