It searches dictionary links automatically almost everytime I start it and it takes nearly a minute, hope I can manually locate the dictionary files. Google search box pops up the first time I type in the search box after the dictionary files are found.

From your description it sounds like you are reporting an issue with Aard
Dictionary for Android. Aard Dictionary for Android is a different application
with it's own issue tracker. Please report issues there.
Aard Dictionary for Android does search SD card for dictionaries when it comes
up. This does not happen every time: dictionary service keeps running in the
background when you navigate away from the application. However, the system
may decide to shutdown the dictionary service if it needs more resources for
other applications. If that happens dictionary discovery runs again when
application starts. This may take considerable time if you have a lot of
directories with lots of files on your card or if you have exceptionally slow
card and/or device. Unfortunately Android does not provide facilities to allow
users manually choose files and while some applications create their own file
choosing mechanisms Aard Dictionary for Android currently does not.
As an experiment can you leave just dictionary files on your SD card and see
if that speeds up discovery?
As for Google search box popping up - I haven't seen it myself and this has
not been reported so far, so I wonder if you have some non-standard settings
that may cause this behavior. What device do you have and what is the version
of Android it runs?
