I've noticed this issue on a few different stories where the background media (the example below shows video, but I've seen it on flat images too) gets temporarily occluded by a black ... something ... until the scroll stops and it gets corrected.
It appears to be a Chrome(ium) issue. I couldn't replicate in FF, but it is evident in Chrome, Chromium and Arc (which is Chromium under the hood).
Hey @colingourlay before you forget everything you ever knew about Odyssey, I seem to remember a very brief conversation about seeing and maybe fixing this or a similar issue before. Any insight you can add here? It's really noticeable for me in Arc and so presume other Chromium browsers might see it a lot too.
