ABC ports
ABC ports are created and edited in the `(accent) I
screen. The ABC server must be restarted for changes to take effect. Most ports are used to communicate between the server and clients, although in some cases they are used to communicate between two servers. Ports communicate in pairs. There is a port setup at each end of the link. Client-side ports are not editable.
There are two ports automatically created on the server for each timeshare user.
The console port is the user number multiplied by 2, and is routed to port 16 on the client.
The printer port is the user number multiplied by 2, plus 1, and is routed to port 18 on the client.
Use server port numbers above 100 for other ports such as receipt printers, cash drawers, and pole displays.
- Some common port types

- Type 11 – UDP (the default for Client 4)
