To run ShopNex locally, follow these steps:
- Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/abdullah-ayyash/eShopify-Online-Store.git
cd shopnex
- Install dependencies for the frontend and backend:
cd frontend
npm install
cd ../backend
npm install
- Configure the environment variables:
Create a .env
file in the backend
directory and add the required environment variables for your database connection and payment gateway API keys.
- Set up the database:
Ensure you have PostgreSQL installed and create a database for ShopNex. Then, run the database migrations:
cd backend
npx knex migrate:latest
- Start the development servers:
cd frontend
npm start
cd ../backend
npm start
- Visit
http://localhost:3000
in your web browser to access the ShopNex application.
To deploy ShopNex to a production environment, follow the deployment instructions specific to your chosen hosting platform (AWS, Heroku, etc.). Remember to set the appropriate environment variables for the production environment.
