@mediaminister @michaelarnauts
I have been experimenting with Transifex.

Not sure if we want to do this. What do you guys think?
We would need to modify the English source as well...
I would rather have longer lines. Need to find if that is possible at all.

Does transifex also pickup new translations added to the English file when merged into master?

I think this greatly improves the way people can translate, or improve the translations of add-ons. I don't mind that it changes the English file, with those newlines. I think it does make it easier to read actually.

I also don't like the fact that a stupid bot is breaking up lines. I think a human should be free to decide which line length is used.

It seems the transifex bot makes use of msgcat, I hope you can configure this bot to use the option --no-wrap.

For multi-line text I don't mind that much (and it seems to go way past 80 characters), but for long text it seems to cut the text. My main issue with this is that it is much harder to see what actually changed if changes are being spread over multiple lines. It also does not help with compare languages. (I am now thinking for other Add-ons projects here).

So my preference is to keep long lines, but split multi-line strings as the bot is proposing. I haven't found a way to configure this in Transifex yet.
