When I test your demo.html page I only get a single level menu. The easing effects seem to work, I get a shimmer on mouseover but nothing else. Furthermore, when I test in responsive mode the overall effect is not responsive at all (see attached image). But your page on GitHub works great. Am I missing something here?

Preview is generated in Firefox 23.0.1.

The problem is, the embedded jquery file inside demo.html doesn't have http: at the beginning and you're not runnig it in a server environment. If you add http: to the beginning, it'll work. I'll fix the code in the repository too. Thanks.
