Hello, if I want to calculate only the amount of radiation after the transport of a single molecule through the atmosphere. For example, consider only the N2O molecule,The TAPE5 file of LNFL should not be subset like this, the fourth element is N2O, only he is set to 1 and the rest is set to 0:
How should I set the corresponding molecule of the TAPE5 file in LBLRTM? Is it possible to do the same as below?
Since I want to only consider the amount of radiation absorbed by the N2O molecule through the atmosphere, is it only necessary to enter the N2O atmospheric profile data? Can H2O, CO2, and O3 be replaced by model 2, or can H2O, CO2, and O3 be replaced with spaces without input?
Thank you
When the TAPE3 file is defined for only one molecule (such as N2O in your TAPE5_LNFL example), then even when mixing ratios are provided in TAPE5_LBLRTM for the first four molecules (N2O is molecule 4) as you have done, the LBLRTM output will only include the effect of N2O lines. However, in your example TAPE5_LBLRTM, you have ICNTNM=1, which activates the continuum contributions for the first three molecules, so you will have to set ICNTNM=0 to exclude those continuum contributions and limit the calculation to N2O lines (or set the input amounts for those three molecules to zero).
