OUTDATED

These are a set of frequently asked questions in Agora.

Why has my account been disabled?

Most probably you have just registered in Agora and what you need to do is to check your email for the activation link we have sent you. If you don't see the email in your inbox, check the spam folder, sometimes the spam filter gets it wrong.

I have published the results of an election, and the count is wrong: the total number of votes is bigger than the sum of the votes of each option. Why?

The difference are the null votes, resulting from delegated votes when the delegate in question didn't vote. This is related to how delegation works in secret elections. When an election is created, delegated votes are automatically counted, even if the delegates themselves have not voted yet. And in the end, some delegates might have not actually voted, so those delegated votes might not end up counting for one option or the other in the election.

We cannot show the delegated votes only when the related delegate has voted, because then someone careful enough might be able to break the secrecy of the delegated vote. So the only other option was not to show delegated votes until the election is over but that didn't seem right.
