Release schedule

Eduardo Robles Elvira edited this page Jun 3, 2013 · 3 revisions

This document provides a simple planning/release schedule for the Agora Ciudadana project. This way, the team knows when it would be a good time to add a new feature or when it's time to focus on cleaning up any bugs in preparation for a release. Any plans are tentative schedules and the final decisions are generally decided on the agora-ciudadana-devel mailing list.

Agora Ciudadana 2.1

This is a feature release, which contains lots of improvements over the previous 2.0 version. Among the changes are:

  • Support for multiple questions in a single election
  • Support for two election types: plurality and Single Transferable Vote (STV)
  • New voting booth
  • More compact top menu
  • New delegation graph for a delegate in an agora over time
  • New (beta) election graph, which allows to visualize liquid democracy in practice
  • Lots of small improvements

Beta release date: 3 June 2013

Tentative release date: 5 June 2013

Agora Ciudadana 3.0

This release will focus on adding support for encrypted elections using verificatum. No other new features are planned, though some will probably be developed, and backported from the 2.1 branch.

Tentative Beta release date: 1 August 2013

Tentative release date: 15 August 2013

Agora Ciuddana 3.1

This release, in a similar way as the 2.1 release, will be a polish and feature release. We plan to:

  • Focus on improving usability
  • Implement important/needed features, which might be:
    • Implement democratic methods for accepting proposals (percentage of signatures, for example)
    • Implement support for a fixed electorate for an election.
