With current clone of master branch: There is a line pkg-resources==0.0.0 in requirements.txt, which causes pip to stop on my Mac with the message 'Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement pkg-resources==0.0.0 (from -r requirements.txt (line 20)) (from versions: )'. I guess this line can be deleted?
