Is it possible to set a list of folders that the session manager needs to ignore? This is quite useful for static files.

It isn't.

But the session manager is middleware, so just don't use it on the paths that don't need it.

Personally I use Alice for help with managing middleware that you want to apply to some, but not all, of your handlers.
