This looks great! Is this just an outline or do you have working code for this already? If you do have code why not release it here even if it is unfinished so the community can help you get it working.

Glad to hear there's interest. Portions of the code exists in the core of a proprietary Java product and will have to be rewritten. However, I hope to push cluster creation, configuration, hashing, sharding, start, and stop soon, perhaps this weekend. Cluster query will be the first proof of concept.

checked in quick and dirty shell scripts for init, setup, conf, start, stop. The hash is a dummy returning 0 (zero). The 'twine' query is not stable.
