Phone Application

Sometimes, when on the home screen and pressing the Call button (to launch the phone application and access your recent calls), the phone then calls the first person in the call log.

I know this is not me double-pressing the call button, although it is almost acting as if I am, because if I am on the home screen and hold down the call button, the call log does not pop up. It only pops up when I release the button. So my one press of the button should be a clean register. I would be more suspicious if the call log could pop up before I am done releasing, and then by releasing I am also calling the first person in the call log, however that is not the case.

I believe this is occurring when the phone application has been in the background for a long time.
