So apparently, two other mechanisms should also be implemented:
1 - Locking
2 - Transactions

During pipeline operations, no other client are allowed to write. Therefore a locking mechanism is required.

Pipelines should support transactions and all writes should be atomic, so i'll need to implement a write ahead logging or journalling mechanism too.
