I usually set up 3 ssh tunnels so I have 3 socks5 proxies, does badvpn support failover so that when one of my proxies dies it'll automatically switch to another one?

Hey, you mean tun2socks? It does not support that and it probably never will. The purpose of tun2socks is to "translate" traffic for SOCKS and I do not plan to "bloat" it with such features. I suggest looking into setting up an intermediate local proxy that implements failover to your 3 real proxies.

I'm using tun2socks right now, everything is working perfectly except that I can't ping from my terminal. Why's that so?

linux@x:~$ ping google.com
ping: unknown host google.com

I can't do sudo apt-get update too.

Tun2socks does not pass through pings, only TCP (and UDP if you configure ugpdw).
