Nowadays, a good part of the desktop's reviewer display logic is done in Javascript, and we can use it with the new backend after bundling the desktop's reviewer js and CSS.
Porting it would reduce flickering, improve performance and probably solve many of the issues about something being displayed differently between AnkiDroid and Anki.
I intend to do it, although it will take some time
