Please confirm the following

  • I agree to follow this project's code of conduct.
  • I have checked the current issues for duplicates.
  • I understand that AWX is open source software provided for free and that I might not receive a timely response.
  • I am NOT reporting a (potential) security vulnerability. (These should be emailed to security@ansible.com instead.)

Bug Summary

We should remove the top option from the Source picklist of the Inventory form:

Steps to reproduce

  1. In the inventory you want to add a source, click the Sources tab.
  2. Click the Add button.
This opens the Create Source window.
  3. In the Source field, choose a source.

Expected results

The picklist from the Source field should not have the Template additional groups and hostvars at runtime option.

Actual results

The picklist from the Source field has the Template additional groups and hostvars at runtime option.

Additional information

Initially, we thought it was for constructed inventory but it doesn't make sense to have it there.
