Configuration

  • macOS version: [13.5.2 (22G91)]

Describe the bug

I have a video file, I want to compress it into a multiple zip files, doesn't work at all. Even if I try to compress it onto Desktop, it's always the same error.

System ERROR:
errno=17 : File exists

Error code 2

Additional context

File Access is granted to home folder and external volumes.

I bought Keka on the App Store just to split a file into multiple zip files, and this doesn't work. I feel stupid for buying it now, and I bought it to support the devs, not because I didn't know how to download it for free.

Sorry about that @Zonwrk, and thanks a lot for all the feedback.

Indeed it seems there's an issue introduced in v1.3.3, earlier versions are not affected.
It only affects the ZIP format, does not affect 7Z.
Please execute this in the Terminal.app and restart Keka:

defaults write com.aone.keka Use7zz false

Now it should work for you without issues, please let me know.

I'll be investigating and properly fixing this issue for the next revision.

Glad to hear that!

I'll leave the issue opened in case others find the same issue until is properly fixed. Thanks again!
